Our outstanding facilities include places to meet, socialise, enjoy refreshments, exercise and more.

We’re more than a care home: we have everything needed for a full and enjoyable life, including an on-site gym, library, coffee shop and lounges. Our retirement village will have its own village hall, shop, co-working space, and bowling green, while our nature park is a beautiful setting in which to enjoy nature, meet birds and animals, and take in the views.

Our state-of-the art professional kitchen produces delicious meals, cakes and desserts made with the best local, seasonal produce while our dementia floor is equipped with a tearoom, Post Office, bus stop and 1940s cwtch, bringing interest, familiarity and happy memories into our residents’ daily lives. Residents love meeting their families for complimentary refreshments in our coffee shop, where we hold a full programme of events, entertainment and activities. Our residents’ rooms are equipped to the highest standards, many with lovely views over our nature park and out to sea.

Coffee Shop

Our charming coffee lounges in each care home are the perfect place for residents to meet with their relatives and enjoy complimentary refreshments.

Residents Gym

Our well-equipped gym provides a safe, welcoming place to get fit and active. Supervised by trained staff, it’s designed to help residents maintain their strength, enjoy interacting with others, and improve their physical and mental wellbeing. We also have a physiotherapy room where residents can receive treatment in a convenient, comfortable, and supportive setting.

Our beautiful and scenic nature park is one of the best loved features at Hengoed Care. Covering 12 acres, it has spectacular views over Crymlyn Burrows to Swansea Bay. At its heart is a lake populated with ducks and swans. Our paths are wheelchair friendly, and there are plenty of places to relax and take in the views. Our residents and their families love visiting our on-site birds and animals, which include sheep, ponies, rabbits, doves, and lovebirds.
