Here at Hengoed Court we are very proud of our Management & Staff and continually invest in their development.  Many of our staff have been with us since we opened.

Hengoed Court Management

Mr DaviesMr Davies the Proprietor has over forty years business experience and opened the well established Hengoed Court in 1987 and it's sister home Hengoed Park in 2012. His main aim was to provide a care home that he would be happy to have put his family into when the time arose. Mr Davies carries this ethos forward with passion and dedication daily and he will often be seen delivering the daily newspapers to ensure he gets to spend time with the residents and gather their feedback about life at both care homes.

Management and Staff - NicolaNicola Williams the Care Home and Business Manager is Mr Davies' daughter. Experienced in leadership and management Nicola has undertaken the Lead Wales Programme and has received national awards for her leadership and management in care settings. Coupled with her care and enthusiasm Nicola is approachable and always happy to assist.

Tim WilliamsTim Williams is a Director at Hengoed Court and is also the Staff Personnel and Training Manager. Tim has a real heart for people and is someone every resident gets to know well, very quickly. Tim is at the forefront of all social events at Hengoed Court, leading with enthusiasm and gusto. In addition, Tim can also be found supporting residents in the gardens and nature park. Tim is married to Nicola Williams.

Management and Staff - SpencerSpencer is Mr Davies son and one of the Directors at Hengoed Court. Spencer takes a hands on role in all aspects of the home and is our unofficial transport manager, often driving the various adapted vehicles we have at Hengoed Court to take residents out as required. Nothing is ever too much trouble for Spencer if he can help in any way he always will.

Management and Staff-SandraSandra is the Clinical Lead Nurse and has responsibility for our team of trained nurses on site. Sandra works closely with the home manager whilst liaising with the relevant medical professionals and families in relation to residents nursing care.

Staff

Our qualified and experienced nurses are all registered with the Nursing Midwifery Council and each nurse has a valid pin number which is checked with the NMC prior to them becoming employees of the Home.
We have a committed team of care assistants employed at the home most of which are locally recruited. Many have worked with us for between 10 and 20 years service. The home will work closely with Gower College in their NVQ training for care staff.

We operate each unit with a mix of care staff to ensure we have adequate cover and that each residents needs can be met.  As well as the care staff there is a Supervisor to assist and help cover the floor.

Of a night we provide a limited number of care staff per unit, levels are adjusted accordingly dependant upon the level of need.
